New director for Irish EPA
Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency has promoted from within to fill one of its top posts.
Dr Mary Kelly, director general of the EPA, welcomed the appointment, which is a full-time executive post with a term of office of five years.
Matt Crowe has worked with the EPA since 1995.
He was involved in the establishment of the EPA's Office of Environmental Enforcement and was most recently programme manager of the EPA's Office of Communications, Strategy and Corporate Governance.
Matt is a graduate of University College Dublin, where he was conferred with a Doctorate in Biochemistry in 1989.
Following this, he worked as a research scientist in Vancouver, Canada for a number of years.
