New face for edie awards judging panel
London's voice for a 'cleaner and greener' capital will be judging edie's 2010 Awards for environmental excellence.
Ms Dedring, as the mayor's environment adviser, is responsible for the full range of environmental issues from climate change mitigation and adaptation to recycling.
She was instrumental in producing London's Climate Change Action Plan, the first by a city to lay out in detail a set of ambitious CO2 targets.
Harvard educated she is also a qualified lawyer in her native United States.
As well as being fluent in German, Russian and French Isabel has also worked in the private sector with stints at consultants McKinsey and Ernst and Young in the 1990s and early 2000s.
On joining the judging panel Ms Dedring said: "I am looking forward to getting a good look at all those environmental entries that are setting the standard for sustainability.
"These awards shine a light on those who are designing and delivering practical results-led programmes.
"They also carry a tremendous amount of prestige for the winners and are a great way of spurring businesses, and others, on in protecting and sustaining our environment."
