Randstad, formerly Hill McGlynn & BBT, will be sponsoring the award for Best Consultancy To Work For.
Nic Yates, regional manager for the company, explained why Randstad had decided to get involved.
“We’ve always used edie and have one of the leading environmental recruitment teams here in Birmingham,” he said.
“We’ve been here for the last 16 years and always recognised that edie has a strong presence and can reach a lot of people. There’s a strong synergy between the two companies.”
He said that environmental consultancies were core clients for his team and Randstad was keen to congratulate them on their achievements.
“We’ve always supported the environmental industry in any way we can and we want to add our voice to the celebration of their successes,” said Nic.
The other reason to get involved, he said, was that the awards present the perfect platform to remind the industry of the name change – with Hill McGlynn & BBT serving the sector for many years, it’s important to let everyone know that while the name may have changed, the widely respected service has not.
The Awards for Environmental Excellence will be presented at a gala dinner at the Hurlingham Club, London, on November 12.
