Red Dwarf's Chris Barrie to host Awards for Environmental Excellence

edie's Awards for Environmental Excellence will be hosted by comedic legend Chris Barrie.

People coming to the 2010 event, held on November 4 at the Hurlingham Club in London, will hear from the man famous for his role as insufferable hologram Arnold Rimmer in the multi award winning cult sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf.

Chris starred in the series, which began in 1989 and run until 2009, and also played the lead role in the Brittas Empire and featured in the Lenny Henry Show, Happy Families and Blackadder III.

After the turn of the century Chris concentrated on corporate work, becoming an established awards host, but has still found time to star alongside Angelina Jolie in two Tomb Raider films and present a series on the Discovery Channel.
