The Green Home Company is offering the solar installations after receiving £15 million of finance from the FITs scheme.

In exchange for allowing The Green Home Company to fit panels to their roof the homeowner will benefit from free electricity generated by the solar panels.

Homeowners can apply for the installations up to March 2012 and suitability will depend upon criteria including size of roof and its direction.

The Green Home Company managing director, Alan Proto, said: “We anticipate the growth of solar energy to be massive over the coming months and years and thanks to the funding and the Government’s Feed-In Tariffs, we are in the enviable position of being able to offer homeowners free installation.

“We naturally expect demand to be extremely high as this offers homeowners a zero cost method of reducing their energy bills – something that is very welcome, especially following recent price increases introduced by the leading energy companies.”

The Green Home Company is part of the GML Construction Ltd group, who specialise in sustainable construction and buildings.
