A water treatment plant in the Dominican Republic that will serve 600,000 people was officially opened by the country’s president, H.E. Leonel Férnandez.
The San Cristobal water treatment facility near the Dominican capital San Domingo is the second of two treatment plants opened in the country this month, both constructed by water giant Biwater.
The newly opened plant uses conventional treatment processes, chemical and chlorine dosing to produce WHO-standard drinking water.
