Sharks circling at IWEX

Entrepreneurs who think they have a marketable innovation for the water industry will have a chance to pitch to potential investors at a high-profile IWEX event.

The Mouchel Shark Tank takes it’s inspiration from the popular TV show Dragon’s Den and organisers have even managed to hook a former dragon to sit on the judging panel.

Richard Farleigh will be joined by Piers Clark, Mouchel’s managing director of regulated industries and Mark Jones, waste water strategy R&D manager for Severn Trent Water.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 20 and aims to unlock the entrepreneurialism and hidden talent in the water industry by providing a platform for showcasing the latest technologies and new ideas.

Organised in collaboration with Severn Trent Water, this interactive event will bring together budding engineering entrepreneurs and investment opportunities.

Piers Clark said: “We want to make sure that consultants and engineers in the water industry don’t miss out on the opportunity that Shark Tank presents as a platform to showcase ideas for future technologies.

“While we know there is an abundance of talent and innovative ideas in the water sector, funding for development often presents a real problem and Shark Tank has been designed to join up that talent with the capital that can really get these ideas afloat.”
