edie’s new case study series examines an array of sustainability projects that have enabled businesses to overcome particular changes relating to resource efficiency, waste management, carbon emissions, water usage and more, by utilising innovative new technologies, systems or behaviour change drives.

In the first instalment of the series, edie looks at how the Langham London Hotel contacted Orca Enviro Systems to install onsite food digesters to help cut back the amount of food waste being discarded and treated offsite.

The three-page case study examines the challenges the hotel aimed to overcome, how Orca Enviro Systems’ innovative system works and what the financial benefits and paybacks look like. The case study also features insight from Orca Enviro Systems’ general manager Andrew Emery.
