Bush calls climate summit

News in Brief

Reformed climate change denier George Bush plans to host a September summit, inviting world leaders to the USA discuss the pressing issue of GHG emissions.

Response to the President's announcement has been mixed, with environmentalists welcoming his apparent acceptance of the need for international action, but expressing concerns that proposals emerging from the summit could derail existing carbon reduction agreements, such as those outlined under the Kyoto Protocol.
