Healthcare manufacturer looks to cut waste costs by a fifth

Contract manufacturing firm Laleham Healthcare has appointed waste contractor SWR to improve its recycling performance and reduce waste costs by 20%.

SWR will evaluate all of Laleham's waste streams with a focus on reducing output and carbon impacts. Monthly reports will also be produced to monitor and track performance.

Laleham's lean project manager Rhys Hayes said: "As the business has grown, and we are now working with some of the world's leading health and beauty brands, we must demonstrate our quality ... environmental performance and green credentials are a particularly important part of this."

SWR, who also have offices in Alton, were recently announced as the UK's fastest growing waste company.
