Remarkable secures order to supply Waitrose with recycled stationery

Recycled stationery specialist Remarkable has won a contract with Waitrose to stock its entire range of eco-products across the supermarket's 240 stores in the UK.

Remarkable specialises in manufacturing eco-friendly and design-led stationery products, created from waste materials. Products include pencils made from recycled CD cases, pencil cases made from recycled tyres, and geometry sets made from biodegradable corn starch.

Waitrose stationery buyer, Kirsty Dennis, described the Remarkable brand as "an excellent partner for Waitrose". She added: "We are very happy to be stocking the Remarkable range in our supermarkets. We are absolutely committed to being responsible in the way we select our retail products."

The Remarkable eco-manufacturing process is housed in a 30,000 sq ft classic old red brick factory in Worcester, powered by renewable energy. Employing 30 members of staff, the factory recycles over 10 tonnes of UK materials every week.
