EdieWaste one of top ten ‘influencers’ on Twitter

EdieWaste's twitter account @edieWaste has been ranked sixth in the first ever list of the top 100 sustainability influencers on twitter, ranked by authority.

The PeerIndex-driven Sustainability Drivers List was launched at the Sustainability Now online event and calculates rankings using how much others rely on the tweeter’s posts about sustainability – the tweeter in this case being EdieWaste editor Maxine Perella.

Making it to number six in the list means edieWaste came higher than the likes of Greenpeace who came in at 20, BRE at number 36, Friends of the Earth at 41, Jeremy Leggett at 42.

“This is a fantastic result and well-deserved recognition for Maxine,” said edie managing editor Will Parsons. “It demonstrates perfectly edie’s entire ethos – to be the authority and the business resource for sustainability managers and this ranking proves the market agrees.”
