The SPARK! Net-Zero Action Workshops event is the flagship annual gathering for edie’s Net-Zero Leaders Club, which sparks new ideas and actions on the road to net-zero carbon emissions. Hosted as part of edie’s Net-Zero November campaign of content and events, this full-day event created the time and space for energy and sustainability changemakers to connect, collaborate and seize the moment of net-zero.

Throughout the day, experts representing a range of sectors took part in high-level roundtables, each covering a different element of the energy transition for businesses. The key takeaways have been summarised in a miniseries of short, free-to-download reports that have been published over the last week.

The first report focuses on Strategy and Innovation. A rapid and just transition to net-zero carbon business is only possible through ambitious and robust decarbonisation strategies, and the viability of technological innovations to advance the cause. But – as we enter a crucial year for climate action – what does a great net-zero strategy and innovation actually look like, in practice?
