Brought to you in association with E.ON, episode 58 of edie’s Sustainable Business Covered podcast explores what energy management excellence looks like, as well as a healthy dose of interviews for Internal Women’s Day (8 March).

First up, edie uncovers what first steps energy managers should be doing to excel with their energy strategy on the sidelines of our first Energy Leaders Club event of 2019. edie speaks to Landsec’s sustainability manager, Brendan Rouse, Sky’s inspirational business manager: operations and environment Anna Ma, Multiplex’s sustainability director Eva Gkenakou and Aggregate Industries' energy manager Richard Eaton to find out.

Up next, edie’s content editor Matt Mace speaks to E.ON’s senior strategic account manager Jon Walsh to explore what innovations are set to shake up the UK energy sphere in the near future.

The second half of the episode focuses on International Women’s Day. First up, edie’s new insight editor James Evison makes his podcast debut by interviewing RenewableUK’s executive director Emma Pinchbeck, who has set up the Switch List to encourage more women in energy roles to speak at industry events.

Following that, edie speaks to a name on the Switch List. One Home’s chief executive Angela Terry dials into the studio to discuss school children climate strikes, the UK’s housing stock and how energy and sustainability professionals can take their work learners and embed them at home.
