Paris climate change summit: In numbers

With the Paris climate talks just days away, people are furiously hashtagging COP21 and penning open letters. In anticipation of arguably the biggest climate talks humanity has ever faced, we've put together some special numbers, with a touch of Francais.

Huge numbers of people are expected to touch down in Paris over the next two weeks and the city is embracing the low-carbon message with an array on low-carbon initiatives. From solar boats to electric vehicles, transport around the city has never been greener.

With thousands of delegates desperate to collaborate, hotels are doing their bit to ensure that overnight stays are more sustainable than ever.

But while the city has prepared admirably in the wake of the recent attacks, it would appear the work still needs to be done in regards to countries’ pledges.  Climate change poses a greater risk to the world’s poorer countries and they’ve answered that threat in abundance. It’s a shame the same can’t be said for the better-off.

So, as the world attempts to return global temperatures to a safer level, we give you the Paris Climate Conference in numbers.
