This week in numbers: Sustainability Live 2015 special

The show's over! Sustainability Live was a huge success this week, generating some fascinating figures from expert speakers, presentations, panel discussions and an awards ceremony.


Visitors heard case studies from the likes of Sainsbury’s, which has achieved a 17% absolute reduction in energy consumption since 2005, and about the £2m annual savings made by Wyke Farms through its ‘100% Green’ initiative. Rolls Royce’ sustainably business manager also spoke about the firms recycling credentials; 50% of Rolls Royce engine parts that can now be recycled and reused.

Speakers also talked about the wider industry, such as the likely contributors to future energy bills and the state of the Anaerobic Digestion industry and the future challenges it faces.

Edie also used the event to present its latest report: The energy management report, and celebrate achievement within the industry through the Environment and Energy awards held on the second evening.
