#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie's loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

For this latest episode, edie's senior reporter Sarah George dials Wales to speak with Goldsmiths, University of London's energy and sustainability consultant Stu Meades

Stu, of Greener Edge, has spearheaded the development of Plan25 - a roadmap for the University's journey to net-zero operations by 2025. The plan was released earlier this month and framed as a green recovery package for the University, with targets around waste management, diversity and inclusion and behaviour change sitting alongside carbon reduction initiatives.

This interview sees Stu providing insight as to how the roadmap was developed and will be implemented, as well as his thoughts on what net-zero action in the UK's higher education sector will look like post-pandemic.

"For us to make progress to reduce emissions, change behaviours and tackle climate change, I think it's only right that we are interweaving action with social change... I think there needs to be a huge amount of stakeholder engagement moving forward," Stu explains.
