With edie readers working remotely or on furlough, this ongoing series of video interviews keeps you connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and champion climate action from their own homes.

#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie's loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

The latest episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George hosting an exclusive panel talk with four experts on biodiversity in business and policy, namely:

- Matt Williams, programme leader for the climate and land programme, ECIU

- Richard Benwell, chief executive, Wildlife and Countryside Link, and former Defra advisor

- Josie Thornewill, head of sustainability, Thakeham Group

- Giulia Stellari, sustainable sourcing director, Unilever

Together, the panel outline the work that must be done ahead of the upcoming 15th Biodiversity COP and of COP26, in terms of policy and business action.

With the world having failied to meet past UN biodiversity targets, the panel discuss what can be done to go beyond incremental and piecemeal actions to deliver a holistic, net-positive impact, restoring natural habitats and systems in ways that reap broader socio-economic benefits. The theme for this year's UN event is notably "we're part of the solution".

Our panellists also react to the publication of the new England Trees Action Plan and England Peat Action Plan, as well as ammenemnts to the Environment Bill ahead of its impending return to Parliament.
