With edie readers working remotely or on furlough, this exclusive series of video interviews keeps you connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and champion climate action from their own homes.

#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie’s loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

The latest episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George speaking with Zoetis’ head of sustainability Jeannette Ferran Astorga.

Ferran Astorga talks about why she has chosen to head up sustainability at one of the biggest animal healthcare firms in the world, following more than a decade in retail. She also provides a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Zoetis’s new ‘Driven to Care’ sustainability strategy, designed to align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The strategy includes commitments to source 100% renewable electricity and also outlines how the business can rethink work-from-home and travel policies post-Covid-19, with emissions reductions in mind.

This SustyTalk’s publication coincides with the launch of the release of Zoetis’s latest annual sustainability report and the launch of its new charitable Foundation. The Foundation’s first ambition will be to support veterinarians and farmers with $35m over a five-year period, to be spread across initiatives relating to debt relief, diversity and inclusion and environemtnal sustainability.
