As 2020 draws to a close and with Christmas on the horizon, the edie editorial team is heading off for a well-deserved break until the New Year. However, we are leaving you with some festive treats to tide you over until 2021 and keep you up to date on the year's biggest green business stories.

As we look forward to another jam-packed year for sustainable business, it’s worth taking some time to reflect on all of the progress that has been made in 2020, despite the obvious challenges. The green recovery movement has been going from strength to strength, net-zero has become a global transition and, throughout it all, individuals have been going above and beyond. 

edie has therefore rounded up the top sustainability stories of the year, month by month, – especially for those of you in the mood for reflection. This article includes some of our best-read stories and those which proved the most impactful to the UK’s green economy.
