Earlier this week, we revealed that edie has agreed a new partnership with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to encourage sustainable businesses action in the build up to Green GB Week (15-19 October).

The partnership has seen the Government endorse edie’s new Mission Possible Pledge Wall – a virtual wall of sustainability and energy commitments that can be made by any edie reader at any time.

Already, 16 Mission Possible Pledges have been added to the Wall, with the likes of Coca-Cola European Partners, Johnson & Johnson, House of Fraser and The Body Shop all showcasing their individual commitments to support the Mission Possible campaign’s aims.

Commenting on the new Wall, edie’s content director Luke Nicholls said: “Our Mission Possible campaign is all about being bold and making change happen, and that must start with strong business action.

“Whether you are looking to reduce impacts, improve operational efficiencies, or drive success through new collaborations and engagement opportunities – success must start with commitment. And our Mission Possible Pledge Wall is the perfect opportunity to do that.”

No pledge is too small or too ambitious for the wall – so long as it is a new, tangible action that you believe will help your organisation on its mission to achieve a sustainable future. Pledge should fit into one or more of the five key Mission Possible campaign pillars: Energy, Resources, Mobility, The Built Environment, and Business Leadership.

It may be that you want to pledge to achieve further alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals; perhaps new actions are needed to drive internal engagement on sustainability; or maybe you feel bold enough to commit to new energy, waste or water reduction targets – the Mission Possible Pledge Wall is the ideal platform to show your pledge to the world.

By submitting a pledge, edie readers are agreeing to the commitment, target date and expected benefits being published on the Mission Possible Pledge Wall, along with their name and job title. They are also agreeing to being contacted by a member of the edie editorial team, should any further information about their pledge be required.
