In today’s episode…

During this episode, the edie trio just about survived the huge crowds gathering outside the main COP26 venue on Monday morning, before splitting up for conversations across all zones of the event.

Sarah was up first, grabbing a quick conversation with shoemaker Vivobarefoot’s head of design Asher Clark in the Blue Zone, to discuss how retail brands can engage consumers on sustainability, but that products alone aren’t enough.

Sarah then passes the podcasting baton over to Luke, who boards Extreme Hangout – a floating events venue which has been set up as a creative hub for young people to set own their own vision for a greener future. WHIle on-board, Luke speaks with the event’s founder and chief executive Amber Nuttall on the steps it takes to organise a fringe event during COP26, and wasy businesses can harness the energy of the youth climate activists who are at COP26.

Finally, Matt heads over to the UK Pavilion to speak to the Behavioural Insights Team’s (BIT) chief executive Professor David Halpern. BIT has released new research in partnership with Sky looking into the sustainable attitudes of the public and how broadcasters, content creators and the media can turn awareness on the climate crisis into action.
