In today’s episode…

While Matt and Sarah continue to keep on top of our up-to-the-minute COP26 news, Luke marks Transport Day by gaining a first-hand experience of the technological breakthroughs that are powering the shift to zero-emission mobility.

First, he takes a trip on HydroFLEX – a 30-year-old train which has been upcycled into the UK’s first hydrogen-ready passenger train. On-board, Luke speaks with Bruno Muller, head of strategy and sustainability at Porterbrook – which owns and operates the project.

Next, we sit down with Rachael Everard, head of sustainability at Rolls-Royce, to discuss ‘The Spirit of Innovation’ – an all-electric aircraft being showcased by the engineering firm within the COP26 Green Zone.

And finally, Luke pays a visit to Virgin Media O2 – also stationed in the Green Zone – to experience a new Connected and Autonomous Vehicle which is on display. There, we speak with the group’s partnerships & innovation manager, Elisabeth Rochford, along with their head of corporate responsibility and sustainability, Tracey Herald.
