edie gears up for return to live events with COP26 Climate Action Workshops

The COP26 Climate Action Workshops event will take place campaigns of COP26: Clean Energy

The COP26 Climate Action Workshops, taking place at the IET London on Tuesday 5 October, is the flagship event of the year for edie’s Sustainability Leaders Club – made up of UK-based professionals who are leading and/or implementing their organisation’s sustainability and CSR strategy.

Hosted as part of edie’s Countdown to COP26 Festival of content and events in association with our headline partner O2, the unique event will begin with keynote talks and panel discussions involving an array of business and climate thought-leaders. These will be followed by five collaborative workshop discussions based on the five main campaigns of COP26: Clean Energy, Clean Transport, Nature-Based Solutions, Climate Adaptation & Resilience, and Climate Finance.

Attendees will have an opportunity to choose to take part in two workshop discussions from these five themes.

“Live events have been postponed for 18 months, but the climate emergency has not taken any time off,” said edie’s content director Luke Nicholls. With COP26 just around the corner, the sustainable business community is more than ready to be reconnected in-person. 

“We’re proud to be re-uniting our industry and excited to bring our Countdown to COP26 Festival to life through our Climate Action Workshops.”

A select number of guest places are being offered to members of the Net-Zero Leaders Club – which connects business energy and carbon professionals to accelerate the net-zero transition – along with members of the 30 Under 30 initiative – a community of young, talented sustainability and energy professionals who are showing fantastic promise in their careers.

Keynote speakers and panellists for the COP26 Climate Action Workshops will be revealed in due course.
