A huge blaze has ravaged a recycling plant in Essex, with flames reaching heights of over ten metres at the peak of the fire.

On Tuesday, as the fires still burned, fire fighters said the cause of the inferno is as yet unknown and an investigation will not begin until it has been fully quenched.

Local press reported that residents had complained in the past of dangerous piles of wood accumulating at the site Orbital Engineering recycling centre in Hoe Lane about 2.30am on Monday, January 5, Nazeing, Essex.
