High pressure cleaning

Cleaning equipment specialist, Trafalgar, bases its self-contained mobile systems on Karcher high pressure washers. Every Trafalgar system incorporates a Karcher HDS 1000 DE diesel driven cold water, hp washer.

Over the past five years Trafalgar has commissioned 60 units of this type which are designed to clean where neither power nor a constant water supply is available. Aimed at the hire sector, local authorities and contract cleaners, plus industry in general, the Trafalgar units are stated to be particularly efficient in removing the chewing gum nuisance. Steam of up to 150°C, under a variable controlled pressure up to 200 bar, is stated to totally disperse this litter immediately on contact and the maximum water flow rate of 900 litre per hour washes away any residue.

Another application for these self-contained units is often the removal of graffiti from buildings. The availability of a 30 metre extension hose and special Karcher Dirtblaster nozzle accessory provide greater cleaning power and flexibility. The Dirtbaster has a rapidly rotating pencil jet that increases impact pressure and impact performance so that cleaning efficiency is stated to be doubled.

The Karcher HDS 1000 DE is mounted in a galvanised trailer to prevent metal corrosion. Inside the bodywork a baffled tank allows for up to four hours’ constant use. The front and rear of this unit is hinged to allow easy access for daily operation and routine maintenance. The steam generator is fitted with electric start and an easy to use control panel. It can provide cold and hot water as well as steam.

There is a choice of three separate trailer versions depending on individual requirements.
