Great British Bake Off presenter Sue Perkins to host Sustainability Leaders Awards

Tickets are selling like hot cakes now Sue Perkins has been confirmed as the host and compere for this year's Sustainability Leaders Awards, organised by edie.net and Sustainable Business magazine.

Currently presenting the BAFTA-award winning, BBC series ‘The Great British Bake-off’ alongside long time presenting partner Mel Giedroyc, baker Paul Hollywood and culinary doyenne Mary Berry, Sue is a regular face on the BBC.

Her tv credits include regular appearances on Have I Got News for You, Qi, Question Time and Newsnight, the Supersizers series with Giles Coren and BBC’s Maestro, in which she conducted at the Last Night of the Proms. She is also a regular contributor to Radio 4’s Just a Minute and The News Quiz.

Sue was the face of the Love Food Hate Waste ‘Freezer Expedition’ campaign, aimed at cutting food waste by encouraging householders to make the most of their freezer, both by freezing food that might otherwise be thrown away and by using forgotten food buried in the nation’s freezers.

As host, she will preside over the Sustainability Leaders Awards on December 5th this year at London’s the Grange St Paul’s Hotel, announcing the winners and welcoming them on stage to receive their awards.

Full details including the entire shortlist and details about the gala black tie dinner and award presentation are available here.

And with the early bird rate for bookings extended until September 28th (offering a saving of £300 on every table) now is the ideal time to make sure you’re there to meet the leaders, celebrate with the winners and enjoy the party.
