The Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Registry allows consumers, designers and builders to make what the Institute describes as, “wiser” and “healthier decisions” in helping them to buy sustainable products. Its new registry includes an optimal certification scorecard.

The Cradle to Cradle certified products programme is one of the most influential circular economy systems applied by product manufacturers and designers to drive innovation and help redefine product quality.

“Our certification is unique in encouraging companies to improve their product’s ingredients and processes,” said Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute president Bridgett Luther. “The multi-attribute nature of our certification becomes a powerful way to show a company’s commitment to making the world a better place for people and planet.”

The Cradle to Cradle programme rewards continuous improvement across the following categories – material health, material retuilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness.

Last year, the Institute teamed up with Anglo-Dutch EMG CSR Consultancy to increase awareness among British businesses of the Cradle to Cradle certified products programme.
