Have a drink on edie… with our Sustainability Live Topic Trails

Four exciting new 'Topic Trails' are being launched at Sustainability Live 2015, allowing visitors to follow bespoke routes through the show based on key industry trends, with the chance to win a luxury holiday to boot.

Visitors at the three-day show on 21-23 April will receive an easy-to-follow map with highlighted pathways for the four topics of ESOS, Energy-Efficient Buildings, Energy Generation and Smarter Systems.

Exhibitors on each of the four Topic Trails will give out special stamps to visitors, which can then be redeemed for a free drink at the edie Energy Bar. And, for each completed Topic Trail, the visitor will be entered into a free prize draw to win a weekend break at a sustainable luxury hotel.

The Topic Trials

ESOS – With the deadline for the Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) looming, the ESOS Trail will provide a full insight into what needs to be measured and how the scheme should be managed, with hands-on advice from the show’s energy efficiency exhibitors.

Energy-Efficient Buildings – From retrofitting and technology upgrades to building management systems and rooftop renewables, the Energy-Efficient Buildings Trail will give visitors all the information they need to help their buildings perform better.

Energy Generation – This Trail is ideals for those looking to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions and ensure security of supply for the future. The Trail will cover everything from on-site renewables and combined heat and power to ground-source heat pumps and anaerobic digestion.

Smarter Systems Trail – Having the right systems in place is key to measuring, monitoring and improving a business’s sustainability performance. The Smarter Systems Trail will cover off all of the exhibitors and sessions dedicated to energy management software, centralised building controls and smarter systems for controlling, automating and reducing usage or impact.

Free prize draw

As part of this year’s Topic Trails, edie has teamed up with The Thurlestone Hotel, situated on the South Devon coast, to offer one prize-draw winner a luxury weekend package for two including accommodation, dinner, breakfast and spa treatments.

As a member of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, The Thurlestone incorporates an array of sustainable business practices to reduce its environmental impact, making it the perfect advocate for the brand new Topic Trails at Sustainability Live 2015.
