The second episode of our new sustainable business chat show sees Futerra's co-founder Solitaire Townsend joined by Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) chair Anita Longley to discuss the sustainability leaders of tomorrow.

Broadcast live from edie Live 2018 in Birmingham, the Mission Possible sofa interviews offer up an array of the energy and sustainability industry’s leading lights to delve deep into some of the hottest industry topics – from onsite solutions and low-carbon vehicles through to green policy and the circular economy.

Episode one saw Surfdome’s Adam Hall and A Plastic Planet’s Henri Allen discuss the plight of plastics pollution.

In episode two, edie’s Matt Mace welcomes Futerra’s Townsend and the ICRS’s Longley to discuss how the role of a sustainability professional has evolved into a business-critical position.

The 10-minute chat sees Townsend discuss how global ambitions like the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals have set the stage for sustainability professionals to usher in a new era of business leadership.

Meanwhile, Longley summarises the essential skills that a sustainability professional will need to help deliver these global frameworks.
