Are you a rising sustainability star? Nominations open for new ’30 Under 30′ campaign

The edie 30 Under 30 is now welcoming nominations from young, talented sustainability and energy professionals – aged under 30 – who have already achieved great things or are showing fantastic promise.

Thirty of these youthful visionaries will then be selected to join the 30 Under 30 for 2019, offering them an unrivalled opportunity to connect with one another, gain valuable recognition and develop their skills and knowledge throughout the year.

“The launch of our 30 Under 30 programme comes at a critical point for the world of sustainable business,” said edie’s content director Luke Nicholls. “We must ramp up our efforts to turn the tide on the devastating impacts of carbon emissions and accelerate the transition to a circular economy – and these are the people that will be leading the charge.

“The edie 30 Under 30 shines a spotlight on those bright, ambitious up-and-comers who will be the sustainable business leaders of tomorrow. I look forward to welcoming the 2019 class of 30 Under 30 and helping them accelerate the careers.”

How it works:

edie’s 30 Under 30 is completely free to be a part of. If you are an aspiring sustainability, energy or environmental professional who is aged under 30 (as of 31 December 2018), you can apply to be part of the edie 30 Under 30 today.

A panel of independent judges – including senior representatives from the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and Global Action Plan – will decide upon the final 30 Under 30 list, which will be revealed online by edie. 

The selected 30 Under 30 community will be invited to an exclusive launch party and photoshoot being held in central London on 21 March 2019. edie’s editorial coverage of the launch night will include a full profile of each of the 30 members, to be published online.

As an added benefit, members of the edie 30 Under 30 will be given exclusive access to the networking events that will be held for the Sustainability Leaders Club and Energy Leaders Club over the following 12 months – allowing these rising stars to meet and network with existing business leaders.

The edie 30 Under 30 list will be updated annually, welcoming a fresh intake of young talent every year.

How to apply:

To join the edie 30 Under 30, individuals must be nominated or recommended – either by themselves or by colleagues. The nomination form is free to fill out and submit. It simply asks entrants to state, in under 250 words, why the nominee should be included in the 30 Under 30 for 2019.

Please do not enter someone who is unable to attend the launch night and photoshoot in central London on Thursday 21 March.

All nominations will be reviewed by our judges in early February 2019 and the edie team will be back in touch with all applicants at the end of February 2019.
