The Sustainable Business Covered podcast returns for 2019 to bring you yet more exclusive interviews, insights and advice from the green economy.

This week, edie launched the Mission Possible Plastics Hub – a brand-new, content-driven campaign that will support sustainability and resource efficiency professionals on our collective mission to eliminate single-use plastics.

Inspired by edie’s ongoing Mission Possible campaign, the Hub kicked-off a week-long series of editorial action that will include exclusive interviews, webinars and in-depth feature articles – all dedicated to turning the tide on single-use plastics.

In addition to hosting content that supports businesses with their single-use plastics phase-outs, the Mission Possible Plastics Hub will be encouraging sustainability professionals to submit new commitments to tackle plastic pollution on the Mission Possible Pledge Wall.

To mark the occasion, edie has created a special episode of the Sustainable Business Covered podcast, summarising key events from the week and bringing you three exclusive interviews, two of which have uploaded pledges to the Hub.

Firstly, reporter Sarah George travels to the Canary Wharf offices to discuss how communities and businesses can “break the plastics habit” with environmental NGO Surfers Against Sewage’s founder Hugo Tagholm.

Up next, content editor Matt Mace speaks to Waitrose’s head of CSR, health and agriculture Tor Harris to discuss the retailer’s impressive plastics phase-outs to date.

Finally, the edie team gather around the phone to speak to the Co-op’s environmental manager Iain Ferguson, who offers advice on everything from Government policy to collaboration.
