edie’s Sustainable Business Covered podcast returns with content editor Matt Mace welcoming senior reporter Sarah George back from furlough. Matt and Sarah discuss the big news stories of the week while focusing on the environmental benefits and challenges of digitalisation, with a focus on streaming services.

First up, Professor Yiannis Andreopoulos, Professor in data and signal processing at UCL and co-founder and CTO of iSize Technologies and Paul Massara, former chief executive of Npower, who was recently appointed to iSize’s executive board, discuss the need to balance the environmental benefits of switching meetings to online platforms with the energy intensity of data centres and the online services we access.

Following on from that, manufacturer Key Production’s chief executive Karen Emanuel outlines the company’s approach to sustainability and why the green agenda is critical in the vinyl industry during the streaming era.
