With edie readers working remotely or on furlough, this brand new series of video interviews keeps you connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and champion climate action from their own homes.

#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie’s loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

The latest episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George speaking with Mastercard’s chief sustainability officer, Kristina Kloberdanz, from her home in New York.

Kristina discusses Mastercard’s work to promote credit cards made using recycled and bio-based materials, as well as the recent expansion of its Priceless Planet Coalition. The Coalition links loyalty schemes to tree planting initiatives from Conservation International and the World Resources Institute (WRI) and is targeting 100 million trees by 2025

She also provides best-practice advice for professionals looking to forge new partnerships to tackle key environmental and social issues, and to improve communication and collaboration across and beyond their respective sectors.
