Under the ambition of Together We Can

The Conference Awards 2020 celebrate the best forums and conferences that bring together bespoke audiences. edie’s Sustainability Leaders Forum was today (18 November) recognised with the Silver award in the UK Conference of the Year category.

This recognition caps off an unprecedented year for the brand – having also recently been named the Best Online Brand and the Digital Editorial Team of the Year by the Association of Online Publishers (AOP).

“We’re delighted that the Sustainability Leaders Forum has been recognised as one of the best events in the country,” said edie’s Publisher, David Griffiths. “The Forum has evolved into a truly immersive, collaborative experience over the years – and it is making a real difference to the world of sustainable business.

“Hosting the Forum virtually in 2021 presents a unique opportunity for us to expand the event’s reach whilst offering a plethora of new and exciting digital session formats – we’ll be going for gold next year and we hope you’ll join us there!”

Under the ambition of Together We Can, the Sustainability Leaders Forum 2021 will be a collaborative online experience; combining powerful keynote talks with interactive panel debates and co-creative workshops – all dedicated to inspiring courageous, collective action to solve the climate crisis.

Having evolved from a face-to-face event to a new, virtual experience, the Sustainability Leaders Forum 2021 will allow delegates to “choose their own adventure”, with a plethora of session themes including net-zero strategy, sustainable investment, supply chain innovation, regeneration and biodiversity, and achieving the SDGs.

Confirmed speakers across the three days (2-4 February) include Nando’s chief executive Colin Hill, World Green Building Council chief executive Christina Gamboa, Sky Bigger Picture director Fiona Ball, and Pernod Ricard’s vice-president of sustainability and responsibility Vanessa Wright.

Standing out from the crowd of online events, the Sustainability Leaders Forum will be a truly collaborative experience. Innovative “speed networking” technology will connect delegates based on ticket types via video chats, while co-creative workshops will be professionally facilitated to deliver tangible outputs. Additionally, virtual exhibition booths will showcase some of the cutting-edge technologies and services that will shape the decade of sustainable business action.

Early bird tickets are available for the virtual Forum, offering a £100 saving for those who order before the close of play this Friday (20 November). Members of edie’s Sustainability and Energy Leaders Clubs can also access an additional pass to bring along a member of the executive team from their organisation.
