With edie readers working remotely or on furlough, this brand new series of video interviews keeps you connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and champion climate action from their own homes.
#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie’s loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
The latest episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George speaking with Kerry Group’s head of sustainability and technology ventures, Juan Aguiriano, about the changes needed to transform food systems for a sustainable future.
At present, agri-food is a major contributor to deforestation, waste and all manner of other environmental issues. This is before coming on to the social issues intertwined with food systems, including malnutrition and obseity.
Changing course, Juan argues, will require a mindset shift from businesses, towards innovation, collaboration and bold targets backed up with solid plans for delivery. He outlines recent changes at Kerry Group and explains how these learnings could be applied across the sector.
