Opsis systems gain MCERTS accreditation

Opsis Cross-duct, multi-gas systems, available in the UK from Enviro Technology Services, have become the first DOAS (Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy) systems to obtain MCERTS accreditation for the measurement of NO, SO2, NO2, HCl, CO, H2O and O2 in municipal and hazardous waste incineration applications.

When combined with the modular range of Opsis Enviman software, the accredited H2O and O2 facilities will provide incinerator operators with a one-source, one-supplier package capable of producing pollution monitoring reports to the full Environmental Agency requirement.

Up to 6 sets of emitters/receivers can be connected to a single Opsis AR600/650 system to enable time-shared monitoring if required. This provides an extremely cost-effective method for multi-stack applications.

Due to the non-extractive, non-contact analysis procedures involved, maintenance costs are also very low and calibration requirements are kept to an absolute minimum. In fact TÜV Germany recommend calibration no more frequently than six-monthly.

An automatic multi-gas calibration system is available as an option.
