expertise of the hotel and hospitality industry, together with an intimate understanding

of the specific requirements of Shire Hotels, Pakawaste’s technical team was

able to recommend the installation of two P500HD portable compactors to deal

with general waste from the sites.

The P500HD portable compactor is the smallest compactor in the Pakawaste portable

compactor range and is ideal for the requirements of the hotels and light industry.

Due to its compact design this machine is particularly suited to companies who

are faced with space restrictions in their waste disposal area. Dependent on

waste type waste volumes can be reduced by a ratio of five to one by the Portakrush

500HD portable compactor, which has allowed Shire Hotels to make significant

savings on their waste disposal costs.

The P500HD is more powerful than the standard P500 model and is fitted with

a sweeping blade, which effectively cleans itself during operation. The blade

compacts waste in a downward movement, this method avoids waste being caught

behind the blade improving cleanliness and making it the perfect solution for

the reduction of food and other types of wet waste.
