Last updated: 20th September 2021

We are excited to announce that we will be attending the RWM Exhibition 2021, the UK’s largest recycling, resource and waste management event.

Held at the NEC in Birmingham from the 22nd to the 23rd September 2021, this event will be featuring over one hundred expert speakers across the recycling, resource, and waste management sectors. There will be over five hundred exhibitors, several unique experiences and live demonstrations.

The RWM Exhibition offers the opportunity for industry professionals and businesses to share insights on a variety of topics, learn about the latest innovations, and experience valuable demos and sessions.

What will the exhibition cover?

The RWM Exhibition provides the industry with a comprehensive range of unique events and experiences across the two days.

The event will be featuring six different zones, each focusing on the key areas for shaping the industry, including:

  • Energy from Waste
  • Recyclers & Reprocessors
  • Machinery & Equipment
  • Transport & Collections
  • Data Tech & Services
  • Future Resource

Within these zones, there will be dedicated theatres, seminar programmes, debates, exhibitors, and areas for networking.

AAC Eurovent will be attending the Energy from Waste zone in order to experience and engage with the latest technologies and solutions for this industry.

There will be a variety of important sessions and speakers covering topics that concern the Energy from Waste sector, such as sustainability, emissions monitoring, the process and efficiency of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), and new technological solutions for Waste to Energy plants.

What is Waste to Energy?

Waste to Energy (or Energy from Waste) is the term used to describe the process of converting residual waste into useable energy (in the form of heat or electricity). Many of the EfW plants in the UK produce energy in the form of electricity and there has been an increasing number of UK EfW plants utilising the heat generated as energy.

Over the years, the UK has seen significant development in the way we dispose of waste. With a new generation of Waste to Energy plants being installed, we’re able to fulfil more objectives than just being a disposal-only point.
