AAC Eurovent’s Indoor Air Quality Solution for AQMAs now available in Vertical and Horizontal Airflows.

Last updated: 30th January 2019

Mechanical Building Service Consulting Engineers are facing increased pressure from local planning departments to comply with the EU Directive 2008/50/EC (the CAFE Directive) European Union Air Quality and Clean Air for Europe 2008.

In 2012, AAC Eurovent responded to demands for a high quality and effective NO2 and NOx mitigation solution by launching the independently tested, patented NITROSORB® Media Filter System which is designed to efficiently remove low concentrations of Nitrogen Dioxide and NOx at levels typically found in city centre locations.

Mr. Robin Elshout, MD of AAC Eurovent said: “Since its launch the NITROSORB® Media Filter System has attracted a great deal of attention from Developers, Environmental Consultants and Mechanical Building Services Consulting Engineers. Many major House Builders and Consulting Engineers are now specifying NITROSORB® as a proven effective mitigation measure for the removal of Nitrogen Dioxide, to improve the indoor air quality of new build residential developments in Air Quality Management Areas.

In response to the demand, and along with our commitment to continuous product development, the AAC NITROSORB® Media Filter System is now available in both standard and bespoke designs, offers the very low pressure drops, which are compatible with Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery Units, (MVHR’s), typically 10Pa – 20Pa, and is now available for vertical and horizontal air flows, and underside access scenarios. Due to its compact design the solution can even be installed into a kitchen cupboard.”
