This event , hosted by 3 Sided Cube on Thursday the 14th of July, will focus on the opportunity technology poses in helping save the planet and how organisations can utilise it effectively to achieve this necessary goal. With representatives from WWF, Olio and UNESCO, our panel will be exploring how different technology approaches can support a more sustainable society.
At this point in our collective concern over the growing climate crisis, we know what needs to be done but it’s an entirely different matter on how to make that necessary change happen. We see the immense power that technology yields in this battle and are the biggest proponents of utilising it.
Yet, it’s daunting to know where to start.
We started by making it our goal to thoroughly understand the barriers stopping people from making more sustainable decisions. We know the tech, but we wanted a better grasp on the problem. So, we conducted research around the intention-action gap to understand why it exists for consumers when it comes to making sustainable decisions. You can download our ‘Bridging the Gap’ report here. The results were eye-opening, as so many consumers want to make more “green” decisions in their day-to-day lives, but aren’t quite managing it.
The next step for us was to facilitate an event to encourage the continued conversation and collaboration around how tech can be used by brands, charities and government bodies to save the planet. The event will be delving into topics including:
- How can businesses help with the fight against climate change?
- What is the role of technology and innovation? Will this become more important in the future?
- How can organisations adopt technology to use it for good – where should they start?
- Examples of game changing technology that is helping the population be more sustainable.
This event will be held at AllBright Mayfair Members’ Club (24-26 Maddox St, London, W1S 1PP) on the fifth floor from 9am – 11.30am.
