Obligatory or optional? What energy schemes MUST you comply with?

Last updated: 30th June 2020

There are a significant number of energy and emissions reporting and compliance schemes in the UK that have been developed to drive a reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, increase renewable energy, increase energy efficiency, energy supply security and energy innovation. Some of these schemes are compulsory and failure to comply carries significant fines. Some schemes are optional. Do you know which are which, what your organisation’s obligations are and what opportunities these schemes offer?

The legislation and schemes are constantly evolving, so energy managers need to ensure they are fully aware of all schemes and that they keep up-to-date with the changes.

JRP Solutions’ energy experts have produced a 4-page Energy Compliance Factsheet which summarises all these schemes, with recent and imminent changes. If you would like a copy of this factsheet, you can request it by emailing jane.stanbridge@jrpsolutions.com,
