Pawprint launches fundraise to accelerate climate action at scale following COP26 call to action

Last updated: 17th November 2021

Pawprint, the eco tech business helping hundreds of thousands of people fight climate change, has today launched a crowdfund as it seeks to accelerate climate action at scale in the wake of COP26. Hosted by Crowdcube, Pawprint is seeking £700K to extend Pawprint for Business, the emissions reducing employee engagement platform being used by businesses throughout the UK.

In the words of Sir David Attenborough, this is our last chance to address climate change.

The Edinburgh based eco tech business offers a unique employee engagement platform – Pawprint for Business – that enables businesses to engage, support and unite employees in reducing their carbon footprints at home, at work and beyond. Currently used by 31 UK businesses and organisations including Brewdog, Tesco Bank, abrdn and Royal London. Pawprint was recently highlighted by the UK Government as a Climate Leader and was the only SME invited to speak at the FTSE’s recent Race To Zero event. This fundraise is to enable the business to accelerate its growth to meet current UK and international demand.

Pawprint allows businesses to harness the passion their employees have to fight climate change and channel it towards their climate targets. With employees on board, these organisations can pivot faster—and with more agility—to meet the changing demands of society and our planet.

40% of UK employees would consider changing jobs if their employer didn’t implement sustainable practices.*

Founded in May 2020 by experienced entrepreneur Christian Arno and backed by the leading author and expert in carbon footprint measurement – Mike Berners-Lee. Pawprint has already attracted funding of £2.2 million from investors including; Gareth Williams of Skyscanner, James Watt of BrewDog and early backers of Tesla, Spotify and Amazon alongside two previous crowdfunds. The previous Pawprint crowdfund at the end of last year was overfunded by 274%.

Christian Arno, founder and Pawprint CEO said; “Since launching Pawprint for Business late last year we have grown steadily thanks to interest from businesses in every industry sector. Now with one of the key messages emerging from COP26 being the need for urgent climate action we are fundraising to accelerate both our UK and international growth. Pawprint for Business empowers action at scale and fundraising will enable us to roll out Pawprint for Business to more organisations and cut carbon emissions faster.”
