Ramco is awarded a scrap metal disposal contract

Following a successful tender competition, surplus equipment disposal specialist Ramco is delighted to announce the award of a Contract for the disposal of scrap metal working with the Ministry of Defence. The Defence Equipment Sales Authority awarded the UK-wide Contract to Ramco (UK) Limited in Skegness.

Neil Sanderson, Managing Director of Ramco, commented:

“This is an excellent result for Ramco, and I am so proud of our team who worked hard to win this new business. We look forward to further developing our relationship with the MOD and providing a high level of service”.

The Contract requires Ramco to provide scrap metal skips to all UK military bases around the UK. Ramco has appointed several regional subcontractors whose capability and culture matched Ramco’s own exacting standards to ensure the smooth delivery of services.

In the region of ten thousand tons of scrap metal are expected to be generated each year, varying from aircraft and armoured vehicles that require demilitarising to ship refits and manufacturing projects.
