Seasonal gifts from our Three Wise People!

Last updated: 11th December 2019

With nearly 100 years’ experience between them, there’s not much that our own Three Wise People don’t know about improving energy efficiency, consumption, costs, emissions and management! If they could give one (energy) gift each, what would they give?

Jes Rutter, Managing Director:

My gift would be an Energy Behaviour Change Programme to every organisation – it is estimated that over 50% of total energy savings possible could be achieved through behaviour change and we all urgently need to be doing more!  More info.

George Richards, Business and Innovation Manager:

I’d give every organisation in the country a Cost of Inaction Analysis. The cost of not delivering energy improvement projects goes way beyond the obvious. The cost of doing nothing ignores:

  • The stresses to the business caused by rising energy prices.
  • Increased costs associated with production growth.
  • The fact that any money saved could be turned to profit or used to invest elsewhere in the business.
  • The social gains of reduced the environmental impact.

Carol Somper, Senior Sustainability Consultant:

No one can afford to ignore the Climate Emergency, so my gift would be a Sustainability Health Check – a great first step to setting and achieving sustainability goals.  More info.

What would you give?
