After nearly 15 years of continuous use these sludge pumps at Bowden Sewage Treatment Works, Cheshire have finally had to have their lobes replaced.
Supplied by Agrico Engineering Sales Ltd, Eccleshall, Staffs to Tuke & Bell for incorporation into the works early in 1991 the pumps – which transfer sludge to drying beds and sludge holding tanks – have met the design duty requirements fully until quite recently when it was decided that the lobes needed replacing.
