Performance standards for grey water systems

The potential for grey water reuse has been appreciated for a long time but there are at present no regulations, standards or codes of practice specific to grey water systems and the risks they may represent if improperly designed or applied.

The project, to be undertaken in conjunction with WRc and a working group of manufacturers and installers of water reuse technology, water companies and other interested organisations, will develop a set of technical requirements together with an industry-agreed water treatment verification methodology.
