In this special two-part episode, edie is given unrivalled access to Expo 2020 in Dubai, which hosted the UN’s Global Goals Week (15-22 January 2022). Under the theme “connecting minds, creating the future”, the Expo is a global gathering which is running from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

In the first of this two-part episode, edie’s content director Luke begins his tour by speaking with the Expo’s chief of staff Nadia Verjee, who discusses how this mega event is using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework to drive global awareness of climate action.

Then, Luke meets John Bull, director of the Expo’s state-of-the-art Sustainability Pavilion, for an interactive tour of the site which has been built to the highest possible standards of sustainable architecture.
