Whether you’re a business leader, climate expert, environmental professional, youth activist  – or just someone with a passion for all things sustainability and climate action – this podcast is for you! edie’s long-running Sustainable Business Covered podcast is dedicated to the people and projects across the world that are transforming business, for good.

In this special two-part episode, edie is given unrivalled access to Expo 2020 in Dubai, which hosted the UN’s Global Goals Week (15-22 January 2022). Under the theme “connecting minds, creating the future”, the Expo is a global gathering which is running from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

In the second of this two-part episode, edie’s content director Luke continues his tour by visiting the Expo Live Pavilion, an innovation and partnership programme which is providing $100m funding to support creative and scalable solutions to the climate emergency. Expo Live’s senior vice president Yousuf Caires is on hand to showcase some of the solutions and discuss their potential.

Then, Luke concludes the two-parter by exploring the unique climate legacy that lies behind this mega-event. Nadimeh Mehra, vice president of the District 2020 Transition Unit, explains how Expo 2020 Dubai is preparing to evolve into a smart and sustainable city centered on the needs of its urban community.
