The company, which is based in London, said today (October 4) it had bought the full manufacturing and distribution rights to its energy saving technology from the original Japanese supplier.

It caps a good year for the firm which announced earlier this year the trademarked Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO) equipment, favoured by businesses including Asda and Tesco, has saved more than a billion kWh of energy in the UK.

Company chief executive, Angus Robertson, said the decision to buy the rights to the technology was the start of a move to duplicate its proven UK business on the world stage.

He said: “powerPerfector intends to take its processes and professional capability to deliver value and savings to its clients in the UK and duplicate this proven blueprint worldwide.

“The agreement makes us a fully vertically integrated company with distribution agreements for Australia, South Africa, China, Thailand and the Philippines – amongst others, it immediately gives the company a global presence and represents a huge opportunity.

“We are already seeing high levels of interest in the technology from Europe and the Middle East and look forward to opening further distributorships around the world.”
